I Know You Are But What are We?

Stephen Minarek, head of New York State's Republican Party, recently responded to Howard Dean's victory in the race for the DNC chair by saying -- "the Democrats simply have refused to learn the lessons of the past two election cycles, and now they can be accurately called the party of Barbara Boxer, Lynne Stewart and Howard Dean."

Lynne Stewart is, of course, the NYC lawyer recently convicted of passing information to terrorists.

The comment drew swift criticism from, among many, many others, Howard Dean and Gov. George Pataki.

If they really want to get into this, I'd like to say that the Republican party could accurately be called the party of, in no particular order, Bernie Kerik, James Guckert, Armstrong Williams, Carl Cameron, Rick Santorum, Margaret Spellings, Judge Bybee, Tom DeLay, Lyndee England, Jose Canseco...

I'm sorry, I've got to get some lunch, I'll get back to the list later.
