“One of [Kerry’s] campaign people alleged that Prime Minister Allawi was like a puppet. That's no way to treat somebody who's courageous and brave, that is trying to lead his country forward.”
“[D]etails have emerged showing the U.S. government and a representative of President Bush's reelection campaign had been heavily involved in drafting the speech given to Congress last week by interim Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi.”
Poor Bush. I actually believe one day he’s going to find out all the stuff his campaign did without telling him, and he’s going to be all “Oh, come on. Come on! Seriously, guys? How could someone not tell me about this?”
Bush believes the same thing about himself - that he's a brave brave man who is just trying to do the "hard work." So how dare John Kerry question the job he's been doing. It's dangerous, hard work. Can't he see that? This is no way to treat a brave man. And he's furious about it right onstage...
